Through this project, JFAO is performing as Kabul Legal Aid Clinic, since July 2009. The project was initially funded by Global Rights Organization and currently financially supported by The Asia Foundation. Through this project, JFAO provides practical opportunities for Law and Sharia students of Kabul university. The program is consisting of two main components, pre-clinic and post-clinic. Along with this activities, JFAO provides legal representations, legal advice, legal counseling for GBV and family cases. Since the establishment of this project, JFAO has provided many legal services for 10,119 beneficiaries who are including 6,427 women and 3,692 men. The services are including legal representation (688 cases), legal advice (7,611 cases), referral (928), documentation (250 cases), and practical work (124). Further, community-based outreach programs were conducted for 2,100 people in various districts of Kabul such as Gul Dara, Shakar dara, Kalakan, Sarai Khowaja, Estalef, Meer Bacha Koot, Baghrami, Paghman and Char Asiyab. The project is still operational.
